    PATHETIC Omar Kelly

How is this guy paid to write for a newspaper? Here's the first line from his most recent Sun-Sentinel blog entry:

It was one of those momentum where the light bulb above your head turns on.
    Really? Momentum?!?!

Does anyone even copy-edit this guy's crap?

I used to be an editor at an advertising agency and I can tell you that most people who get paid to write for a living typically aren't very good writers.

Don't hate Omar, hate the folks who hired him.

    Ice up, Leodis.

If I had a time machine I would use it to travel back to the exact momentum they hired him and tell them he is horrible.

I swear, he's like an uneducated person who is trying to use big words. My job in the Navy is Public Affairs/Media, so this type of thing drives me crazier than the normal viewer I guess. My only guess is that the Sun-Sentinel doesn't require copy-editing for blog entries. Someone need to clue them in that the majority of people (particularly those who don't live in south FL) get their Dolphins news from the blogs of their beat writers.

Outside of a select few newspapers, nobody in the business cares if writers are any good at all. What matters is selling newspapers, and as long as people are talking about Omar Kelly, the Sun Sentinel sports section will sell newspapers.

Dan Le Batard is probably one of the most naive people on the planet, and I think he is genuinely one of the worst sports writers in the United States, but he is great for the Miami Herald. People read his articles, even if it's only to shake their heads and wonder how the guy actually gets paid for expressing his opinion. I know that I definitely listen to his radio show to be entertained by such great opinions as 'athletes don't put in more effort during contract years.'

One momentum, if I may please.
