    Best Player Available...Trent Richardson?!

    I was debating with my 12 year old nephew yesterday what we should do in the worst case scenario that neither Luck, Barkley or Griffin fall to us. We came to the conclusion that if Trent Richardson is on the board, even though we dont technically need a RB, we have to take him. Hes a playmaker in the mold of Adrian Peterson, Ricky Williams, Fred Taylor, Ladainian Tomlinson. I think he has HOF running talent just like the guys i mentioned before.

    I havent heard his name mentioned as a possibility since were all hoping to the football gods that we land one of the top 3 QBs but hey.....if not, TRichardson is not a bad consolation prize no?

    I'm just not a fan of taking RB's in the first Rd. Unless you think the RB is going to be the best RB in football or in the conversation(Like AP) than there's not enough value in selecting one that early.

    Some of the players drafted after the first rd;

    Arian Foster, LeSean Mccoy, Ray Rice, Matt Forte, MJD, Fred Jackson, Michael Turner, Lagarette Blount, Frank Gore.

    Indianapolis may need a top quality RB before they need another QB.

    I'm all for drafting the best player available but drafting a RB isn't the direction the team needs to go. The team has other holes that need to be fixed first.

    Yeah because having an elite RB has done so much for Tennessee and Minnesota.
    I'm here to tell the truth about top secret Air Force project BAR STOOL. Gamma ray radiation from the particle accelerator under Joe Robbie Stadium is real! Get out while you can! This bad football team is just a front for something far more sinister!

    Richardson could very well be there when we pick. If he is I think you try to find a team who really needs a RB. Trade back and take what you can get.

    Not a need for Miami right now..but that being said to me Richardson is the best running back prospect since Ricky Williams..Dude is a beast with the speed and power to carry the load..I dont see him getting past pick 3 unless something happens unforseen between now and then.
