    Heaven Forbid if Tony....

lobbied or tried to parlay the Jets job WHILE Brian Schottenheimer was still employed...wow! I mean it is the most terrible thing in the world right for a team or a coach to speaking to someone about a job that was currently filled? And I cannot imagine how Jeanette Sparano is feeling either. Will she still have to watch games from a crate on the sideline?

In all seriousness, it seems where Tony was scorned last year in the Harbaugh debacle, he did the same exact thing to Brian Schottenheimer and the Jets OC job. I respected Tony for standing up in the face of tough times, but I lost a lot of that respect as he HAD to of discussed this job while Brian was still employed.

Don't give me that static of "well, we knew Brian was getting the axe..." Tell me how a guy is fired and literally minutes later a guy (Sparano) is hired without discussing the job while someone else was employed?

To quote Eric Mangini, looks like Tony was farming on Schottenheimer's land.

I don't like losing him but our Ol was the worst unit on offense this year and Tony's forte is the OL, right? we'll see what happens. I don't like any of these moves right now.

Wait a minute...when did Tony take it standing up?

Are you referring to Tony taking it standing up during the whole Harbaugh debacle or during the season and after the 0-7 start?

I lost ALL respect for Sparano after he just laid down and let Ross publicly humiliate him the way he did by chasing after Harbaugh, landing flat on his face, and then scampering back to Sparano with a spiffy new contract extension.

I couldn't believe Sparano didn't tell Ross to go **** himself. Instead, Sparano stuck his balls in a Mason jar on the shelf, hung his head and signed that extension.

He had no choice. If he quits he has no income until the lockout is lifted.

Tony doesn't strike me as a complete idiot. He's probably not out living some lavish rockstar lifestyle. I'm sure he has a few coins stacked up in the bank.

Tony should have sacked up and told Ross to kiss his fat *** and fist pumped his way to his car.

    ROFL!

That's true Hayden. I hadn't thought of that.

What a gigantic hypocrite then. He was interviewing for the job while the current coach was still there
