lobbied or tried to parlay the Jets job WHILE Brian Schottenheimer was still employed...wow! I mean it is the most terrible thing in the world right for a team or a coach to speaking to someone about a job that was currently filled? And I cannot imagine how Jeanette Sparano is feeling either. Will she still have to watch games from a crate on the sideline?
In all seriousness, it seems where Tony was scorned last year in the Harbaugh debacle, he did the same exact thing to Brian Schottenheimer and the Jets OC job. I respected Tony for standing up in the face of tough times, but I lost a lot of that respect as he HAD to of discussed this job while Brian was still employed.
Don't give me that static of "well, we knew Brian was getting the axe..." Tell me how a guy is fired and literally minutes later a guy (Sparano) is hired without discussing the job while someone else was employed?
To quote Eric Mangini, looks like Tony was farming on Schottenheimer's land.
