Do they win the Super Bowl without Eli Manning?

Eli has 2 SB's SBMVPs, and GW'ing drives. He also just passed for more yards than any other QB has ever passed for in a single postseason. Add 15 4th quarter TDs during the regular season where he dragged his team to the finish line, and you have an elite QB. Also, these are the records of the teams Eli has beaten in the playoffs--I'll omit ATL and TB since they aren't worth bragging about.

    13-3
    14-3
    18-0
    15-1
    14-3
    15-3

89-13. Eli has only 2 turnovers throughout those 2 runs as well, not to mention throwing for more than any playoff QB has (2012).

If you don't think that's Elite, then perhaps you should follow a sport that's simpler, like soccer. Jet minds aren't the brightest though, dets for sure

yes, depending on the QB. They won primarily b/c of their D, Eli played really well and was a key but w/o the D playing lights out thye weren't winning either SB.

In '07 NE averaged 37 PPG, NYG D held them to 14
In '11 NE averaged 32 PPG, NYG D held them to 17

I'm glad to learn Eli did that all by himself but do you think the D holding Dallas to 17 pts at Dal, Gb to 20 pts including OT AND setting up the GW FG in OT w/ a TO, holding Brady and the greatest O ever to 14 pts, holding Rodgers and GB to 13 non garbage time pts, the STs forcing TWO fumbles which directly led to NYg's ONLY 2nd half and OT pts including the GW in OT and holding Brady and his high powered O to 17 pts had anything to do w/ those runs?

Eli led that team to NINE wins last year, he's won playoff games in TWO of 8 seasons, he threw 25 INTs just 2 years ago. He doesn't have a single elite full season in his entire career, NFL network was aksing if good or bad Eli will show up- in what world is this elite?

So for the Giants to win, they would have needed to score more that 14 points in 2007 and more than 17 in 2011, correct?

Did you forget to show us where those defenses score more than the Patriots offense or was that Eli's job?

Tom Brady played like dookie as well. That same Tom Brady that's soooo good in the regular season.

Brady played that way b/c of the high level the Giants D played at harrassing him into poor throws and poor decisions. The way to look at it is like this- Eli and Brady played at a similar level and put up similar #s in the 2 SBs yet you think Eli was elite and Brady played like "dookie".

    Eli: 50-76, 553 yds, 3 TDs, 1 INT, led O to 18 PPG
    Brady: 57-91, 549 yds, 3 TDs, 0 INTs, led O to 16 PPG

Pretty similar except eli wasn't facing a ferocious pass rush

Oh, since we're going with this angle (giving the defense all the credit), Joe Montana was a pos then since he played on stacked teams and defenses?

Looks like junc don't wanna go to the sidelines and talk to the olllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll ball coach efter det one!

Elite QBs don't play like that IMO

Joe Montana is not elite b/c it was all the defense in the SBs:

    -Holding Bengals to 21 pts
    -Holding Marino to 16 points
    -Holding Esiason to 16 pts
    -Holding Elway to 10 points
