Practically the same thing. Pro Bowlers sitting due to "injury" and teams sitting players to "rest" them.
Would the Jets have beaten those teams straight up? More than likely not.
It's crap. This is why they should do away with that dumb Wild Card card. Sick of average teams, like the 2011 New York Giants, getting into the playoffs and watering everything down.
Should be four teams from each conference and that's it. Less is more.
Not really, we got a qtr and a half of Indy backups and took advantage, Miami had backup QBs and dead teams in 2008- that was ok? in 1993 we faced Houston backups and lost, in 2004 Buf faced Pitt backups and lost. You still have to earn it on the field.
is Flacco elite? he got an undeserved SB MVP award too just like Eli.
football fans are dumb especially those that think Eli and Flacco are elite. Flacco FINALLY has a good postseason and now he's elite. He is in Eli company though w/ an undeserved Super Bowl MVP(eli has 2).
It's hard to be consistently good in the NFL.
Joe Flacco didn't turn the football over during the entire postseason. Dude balled out. Dude takes every ounce of criticism any time the Ravens lose a game and when they win "he didn't really do anything."
You have such a problem with recognizing great play and defending dog **** from your own team.

joe flacco had a better postseason this year than any of elis.
aside from the stats, 11 td and 0 ints, if u look at the road to the superbowl, had to go into denver vs the 13-3 broncos in freezing weather, than go into foxboro vs the pats, then to play like he did vs arguably one of the best defenses in the entire nfl, great job.
also, flaccos defense was far from great this year, he had to put up a ton of pts for them to win, 38 vs den, 28 vs the pats, 34 vs the 49ers ( 27 really bc 7 were due to jones kickoff return) but still 27 vs that 49ers defense is great.
congrats flacco, well deserved.
to junc, i think flaccos superbowl mvp was a lot more deserved than mannings 2. here is why.
flacco led an offense to put up 27 pts vs a top notch defense in the nfl. every drive in the 2nd half, the ravens defense let the 49ers drive down the field and score at will, until the final drive where they held.
although flacco did not have any tds in the 2nd half, he did lead the ravens down the field 2x on 2 crucial drives with big time throws, and those field goals, were pivotal.
as for eli, he made some big throws in those superbowls, but anyone who watched the games, this speaks true especially for the 1st superbowl, knows he was not the main reason they won, but rather a giant defensive line that shutdown arguably the best offense in nfl history, holding them to 14 freaking points the entire game. eli manning had a 2 dropped ints on that final drive, plus that once in a lifetime catch by tyree, but even if it was a clean td drive, the fact that the giants scored a total of 17 pts that game vs an all time great offense and won, thats more the defense than eli that game. if the giants would have won in a shootout, than eli would no doubt have deserved it, but eli struggled for the majority of that game.
last years superbowl i have no problem with him winning the mvp, although he was not lights out, and the pats were not exactly the best defense, he played well enough in the superbowl to win mvp imo. 1st one though deff not.
Flacco threw 3TDs, zero interceptions (9-4 in postseasons, 11TDs, 0 Ints this postseason) but let's be a jealous fan and diminish his accomplishments driving his team to the biggest stage of all, while bragging about 2 conference championship game fails in 4 years, while making such ridiculous assertions that in '10, Sanchez may have been the 28th ranked QB but still he was "top 10" causing other more objective TGG members to mockingly use that quote as part of their sigs. Seriously you really can't make this Chit up. . Bottom line: people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones: if Flacco is an undeserved SB MVP, what does that make the relative deservedness of the 09 Jets postseason?"
What's funny is today on PFF, Florio (a hack fersure but still..) was talking about the need for the Ravens now to Exclusively franchise, vs just franchise Flacco, paying him $20mil vs $14mil, since as just a franchised player, a number of teams including the jest would be motivated to give up 2 firsts for him.
Mike TannenBum: Now "Kiss of Death" for 2 franchises!
Flacco threw 3 TDs, 1 was on a terrible throw to a WIDE OPEN WR deep down field where that WR turned a terrible pass into a TD. I think overall he had a good game, not one worthy of a SB MVP especially when Jones did what he did. I hate SB MVP voting, they rarely get it right.
