Well you surprised me...thought you were going to say Sanchez.

Totally different situations, NE had a young QB on their roster for years who could play and knew the system. Indy picked up a retired 40+ yr old QB off his couch w/ a couple weeks to go before the season started and Indy quit on the season. NE was also coming off 16-0 and had a younger, better team at the time. Indy was coming off 10-6 and wasn't expected to be great w/ Manning. Look at BB's record w/ and w/o Brady for more clarification.

We'll see what happens, I don't think we'll see a quick resolution so for those wanting Peyton it will feel like forever waiting for him to decide.
It would be nice for you to stay on topic for once. Every thread becomes Sancheez or Brady discussions.

Peyton may be released next week, but I think he will take his time. He probably will announce his decision just prior to the draft IMHO.

Someone mentioned Manning was the best of this generation, I disagree. It's all part of the discussion.

Wrong. Cassel had 3 years in NE and went 11-5 and we know how well Casell has played in KC. Collins did no worse then Painter and Painter had 2 years in Indy. Peyton Manning carried that team.

I heard it this morning and tweeted the show the following "Greeny, even if Manning doesn't come to MIA the Jets will still be third in the division behind the Fins and Pats"

The difference is Painter CAN'T PLAY. Cassel would go on to lead another franchise to a div title in 2010. Painter will be out of the league when Indy lets him go. Indy was so confident in painter they overpaid for a 40+ yr old QB that was retired. Did NE make any crazy moves after Brady went down?

In 2007 the Pats beat playoff bound teams by an average of almost 20 PPG, in 2008 going 2-4 against playoff bound teams they lost by an average of almost 18 PPG. They were undefeated in 2007 then won 10 games w/ Cassell starting against a much easier sched- that is a HUGE dropoff.

Hopefully like most everyone else you realized and understood that Painter can't play as you watched the 2nd half of the 09 game 15.. if not before, when watching him against Buffalo. Pretty sure, as you pointed out, The Colts knew it also by then. But thanks for the confirmation anyway

Greenberg then gave his opinion, the whiny little tart, about how Seattle would be a much better fit, and that it doesn't make sense for Manning to play under a first year head coach in Philbin.

the moral of this story is
greeny is scared ****less of manning going to miami and will try to detract as much as anyone.
edwards isnt a homer and can see the writing on the wall.
