I swear JI makes me want to give the whole GM thing a go.
If you draft a Michael Floyd at 8, you are paying him 4 years and 12 million. 7 million less than Marshall per year. Floyd has #1 ability and was right next to Jones had he entered last years draft.

You also pick up a 3rd this year . . . Miami would have 3 more picks in the top 73. Floyd fills that hole up at a lesser price. Sure I don't like the trade still, but there are some positives there.

If we traded back and grabbed Floyd, I'd be ecstatic. He's not Marshall yet, but he has a ton of potential

Mike Mayock, who covers Irish football, says Floyd simply does not drop passes, not even in practice. We know he probably does, but he has great hands and route running to go with his speed.

The reason why the 40 time was important for Floyd was to confirm what people see on film. 4.4 with his talent screams draft me . . . I think he is now the favorite at #8.

Would prefer Kendall Wright, think he's a better fit for this offense than Floyd. Not to mention Floyd's drinking problem, putting him on South Beach is just asking for trouble.
