A victory over an average QB with an elite defense would be a bigger indicator of NFL success than beating an elite QB with an average defense. It's a facile comparison of Gruden's which appeals to egos but has little relevance in a team sport that pits offense against defense.
Weeden beat most of the teams he played, against high ranked teams with talented QB's, what more do you want? he cant control what teams he plays against. I understand that Weeden had Blackmon but Luck had Coby Fleener and RG3 had Kendal Wright. I like Weeden, he's a winner

If Weeden was 22 he would be picked before Tannehill, not even close.

I'm not saying it to knock Weeden. I'm making the point that x QB doesn't beat y QB in football. It's a bogus comparison.

FWIW he only beats Luck because a kicker failed his job.

If he was 22, the top 3 picks would be up in the air...

Let's be realistic here...qbs aren't like running backs, they can play forever. Not saying we take him,but those surprise top 10 picks come out of left field and I personally wouldn't be angry or upset with the pick..would you all?
SERIOUSLY ???? do you still sleep in your JOHN BECK jersey???
