A lot of their families have been here since Texas was part of Mexico so that makes a huge difference as most Cubans in Miami are only second or third, maybe fourth, generation.

If you think that I am hard on immigrants, you should hear some of these old Mexican-Texans. They say lovely things about drowning the "wet-backs" in the Rio Grande and that they are ashamed of the "sorry Mexicans" as they give the rest of them a bad name. A few have made me blush, badly!

There were similar ****ty, self-loathing statements made by 1st wave Irish immigrants about the much poorer/desperate 2nd wave.

I don't know if anyone remembers the thread I made about an undercover police officer tricking an autistic high-school student into buying weed for him, but VICE made a documentary about it.

    I haven't seen it, yet. I imagine it's a pretty big bummer.

This is the story of Jesse Snodgrass, a kid with Aspergers Syndrome who was entrapped by an undercover cop posing as a student at Jesse's high school. This is the story of how the war on drugs preys on the most vulnerable.

How good would Noel look in a Cavs jersey right now?

I think he looks just fine in a Sixers jersey. Thank you.
