I don't get it either. I thought it was funny. Very pro-wrestley.
Lobster, but youre free to grab a couple stone crabs if you happen to run into a few. Good stuff.

No, no, racism is dead. We have a black illegal immigrant president, remember?

It was a poor attempt at sarcasm on my part. I was trying to point out that this whole "white people face the same racism as black people" thing is utterly insane stupidity, as evidenced by the racist twitter **** about Sherman that rob posted.

I still love how Andrews was trying to figure out what he was even talking about.

I've actually been to the hotel in Estes Park where they shot The Shining. Pretty cool.

Forgive me for putting my "Kubrick nerd" hat on, but they shot The Shining at Elstree Studios outside London. Apparently the big "lobby" room set -- where Jack is writing, or more accurately not writing -- was the same exact studio space where Spielberg built and shot the "well of the souls" sequence in Raiders of the Lost Ark, which is the next movie that shot at Elstree.

I read a breakdown/photo essay on the different hotels that were used as templates for the "Overlook". Kubrick basically sent out a photographer to shoot every hotel -- inside and out -- in the Western United States, but yeah... Kubrick pretty much refused to leave the UK after like 1968. The helicopter shots and some of the matte templates were done by a second unit.
