Today, Vice President Joe Biden is the toast of much of the internet. The satirical Onion newspaper is thanking our gaffe-prone veep for providing them four years of fodder with the release of the e-book "autobiography" The President of Vice. To publicize the book, Onion editors took to Reddit Friday afternoon, posing as "Diamond" Joe Biden, for an Ask Me Anything. "You are welcome to ask me anything about the book, how to round up tail and make them wail, my Trans Am, things you can make into a pipe, Barack, or where we can hook up at if you're a smoking' hot mamacita," the mock intro reads. But it was the tweeted AMA question from the real Joe Biden that stole the show:
Q for @reddit AMA with my @TheOnion pal: A Trans-Am? Ever look under the hood of a Corvette? #imavetteguy VP pic.twitter.com/xPGMBBYl

There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

Late to the party on this, but Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas was an awesome movie. Still holds up.

An even better book, imo. Most of the narration is taken word for word from the book.

HST could be hit or miss (especially late in his life) but at his best he's as good as anybody who ever put words on a page. Fear and Loathing on the Campaign Trail '72 is still the best book on politics I've ever read.
