Anyone else intrigued by the possibility that Pouncey was giving away the plays instead of Tannehill?
Maybe it's just because I'm hammered and I've had various fun distractions but I honestly don't know how we won today. Can someone fill me in?
Just for fun, I've been connecting to servers in other countries with the VPN I use to see what surfing the web is like there. I just hooked up to a server in Saudi Arabia and tried to go to a porn site.
Those poor damn people. Hopefully they too have discovered the liberation of a VPN.
The impressive thing was how well the line played. Everyone expected a disaster. Our starting line was a disaster because they CLEARLY couldn't work together. You have the Martin-Incognito lovefest, a center that everybody touted as one of the best in the league and yet he still wasn't considered a leader on the team (too busy running guns and whatnot), a guy more interested in eating a lot of sammiches, and a guy who apparently went way past his prime. At least the latter two showed that they are capable of working as a unit though.
What's funny is that there were a lot of people interested in replacing Incognito this past offseason, many of whom are big supporters of his now (and it has nothing to do with his play on the field). Had we done so and signed McKinnie at the start, I think it would have a been a completely different season. Granted, it wouldn't change the fact that Ireland and Philbin clearly can't work together, Ireland can't draft for ****, or the fact that coaching staff refuses to (or can't) use the strengths of the players they have. The one bright side of the fiasco this season has been is that all of that stuff is being exposed quite a bit earlier than it usually is.
