Do you have cofidence in the news?

Just 21% of adults said that they had a "great deal" or "quite a lot" of confidence in TV news. That's down a whopping 25% from 1993, when Gallup began the poll.

Nope. Actually, the only news that I read for world news is the BBC or Al-Jazeera English. Both are really quite good. The Economist is a pretty solid magazine too.

I would be willing to bet that at least 75% of registered republicans get the vast majority of their news from Fox. And I think that is a conservative number.

I use multiple sources just to get a broader view and yes, that means reading foxnews.com as well.

I don't believe anything labeled "breaking". The news needs time to filter out and ferment so you can distinguish between what is mostly true and what is mostly false.

Overall I say the news is about 60% truth if we are lucky, 30% gossip and 10% flat out lies.
