don't speak in absolutes if you don't know for sure...it would appear that given this move that would be the case though...

Yeatman is getting work as the 2nd team RT in camp already....interesting.
I think they would probably prefer the PS for him but, and please correct me if I'm mistaken on this as it's entirely possible, but I thought there were multiple teams onto him when we signed him, based on his ridiculous workouts.

I mean if you look at the workouts, they're ridiculous.

    Ht: 6041
    Wt: 239
    40: 4.43
    VJ: 39"
    BJ: 10'3"
    SH: 4.21
    3C: 6.75
    BP: 19

I mean, those are Vincent Jackson numbers. The Packers under Philbin had a TE on roster back in 2008 by the name of Tory Humphrey. Similar uber-athlete project. Was 6'3" and 255 lbs, ran a 4.50 with a 38 inch vert, 21 bench reps, 10'5" broad jump and an insane 3.95 shuttle. The Packers toyed around with him from 2005 to 2008, finally debuting him in 2008 with him catching 11 balls for 165 yards. He went to New Orleans the following year. You could definitely see Les Brown kicking around the team for a few years the same way Humphrey did in Green Bay.

Last time the Phins converted a TE to T it turned out pretty good. I believe Shula drafted Ronnie Lee as a TE and converted him into a pro bowl T.
If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.

I dsagree. I don't think he had a shot to make the team as TE. Moving to OT actually increases his chance at making it through training camp. I think this is the end of Jerry.

I agree with this. He just moved from a position-profile that Joe Philbin and Mike Sherman have scant history utilizing (heavy, slow, one-dimensional blocking tight end) to a position-profile that Philbin and Sherman have plenty of history utilizing (unusually light, unusually athletic offensive tackle).

He just increased his own chances of making the roster by quite a bit, IMO. As is reflected by the fact he's already working with the 2nd string in today's practice.

Have the practice squad rules changed this year? Because if you try to stash Les Brown or Yeatman there, some team is going to snatch them up.

If BROWN shows something, w/his "measureables" off the proverbial chart, he'll be "poached" off of our P/S IMMEDIATELY...probably by N.E.!!
