If this organization is about change...we arent even discussing it at this point. Its time to start building our own players. Stop trading for other teams players, who they dont want and/or to pay.
Seems like the only trades that ever work are the ones for low draft picks. For better or for worse...lets see what we got.

Plus..Steelers have Rapelisberger. That definately makes an impact on a WR.

Supposedly he wants Calvin Johnson type money ($18.75 million/year). That is a crazy amount of money.

If reports are true he declined a 5 year $50 million deal, then he may not be worth the trouble and cap space.

    We shall see.

    *edit: Seems he wants V-Jax money ($11.1 million/year). http://rotoworld.com/player/nfl/5329/mike-wallace

Is there a WR free agent or on the trading block that the media hasn't had the Dolphins as one of the favorites if not thee favorite?

we could trade for him and give him a contract that will pay him 3-4 mil this year and then step up the contract next to give him 8-9 mil next year , imo where theres a will theres a way.

Can't do that. I think the maximum a contract can jump from one year to the next is 10%.

So if he is offered $4 million in 2012, max he can make in 2013 is $4.4 million.

The cap hit is what matters and under this CBA, you cannot have a player's cap hit jump like that.

What you may have seen before was salary making a significant jump, but salary does not include bonuses.

Bonuses are taken into account for the cap hit.
