It makes a lot of sense to me...

1.) We have no play makers on offense. Maybe some of the young guys turn out to be good, but they need to prove it.
2.) He's a big name. Gets people excited.
    3.) He's young

I'd throw our better 3rd rounder for him if need be.

I'm just saying that if it's true the Steelers could be asking as low as a 4th round pick for him and it's also true he wants the same contract Vincent Jackson got...the Dolphins need to have this discussion and it needs to be a serious one.

The guy is 25 years old and has produced 3500 yards and 26 TDs of offense over his first 3 years in the league. He's 6003 and 199 lbs and ran a 4.28 at the Combine with a 40 inch vertical and 10'9" broad jump. He already is the player the Fins were hoping Clyde Gates may develop into.

Do we have V-Jax money available? I guess we could cut/release/trade Reggie Bush, Jake Long and Karlos Dansby to free up that kind of money.

The Dolphins have plenty of money available. This year's salary cap is highly manipulable (I believe the CBA even allows you to 'borrow' up to $2 or $3 million in space from future years) and they are scheduled to be like $60 million under the cap in 2013. Trust me, I don't think money is an issue. Is he worth it, or not? That should be the main discussion.

I don't know how to regard this but Legion Sports (@MySportsLegion) tweeted that Y! Sports is reporting that the Dolphins, Colts and Cowboys have had preliminary discussions with the Steelers about Mike Wallace.

If he played like he did the first half of last season, then yes he is worth it.

Well at least Ireland is kicking the tires.

Would be interesting if the Dolphins and another team made serious offers.

We'd probably have to enter a bidding war.
