the starters outscored you 45-27 in approx a game and half.. pro-rate that out to 2 full games and it would be the equivalent of 60-36 - and that's without Bob Sanders and in the playoffs, Freeney hobbled - 2 of their 3 best defenders.

in game 15, they pulled their starters while ahead and drove the point home that you didn't earn your way into the postseason by inflicting 24 unanswered points on you in the second half of a game they actually did play. If that's not putting an exclamation point on who let you into the playoffs and why, I dunno what is

The fact remains remains that if you don't make it into the big dance, you're just twerking in front of a mirror for your own amusement. Or with apologies to Denny Green, "you weren't who you think you were."

No, I don't, but am drawn into it when presented with recurring fairy tales about "them vs us" especially when I know in 08 we'd at least have beaten dead team walking Cinci in game 1 of the playoffs if we were playing them and likewise , the so-called humiliation wouldn't have been pretty if in 09 Sanchez and his illusionists faced the Baltimore team we did in 08. So when those same warped chips continue to be thrown on the table, I in turn feel an obligation to ante up some reality chips (even though I don't get paid to do it).

Just trying to keep perspetive here including that close only works in horseshoes; if you don't make it to the Big Show, you're just shooting blanks.

Guess I could have summed the above up by saying:
"same shaky bull**** gets same reality response"

Does that adequatelyh address your question?

I don't actually care but how can the Dolphins have been closest to the Jaguars by 48? When Jacksonville scored their first TD, that was the closest the Dolphins were to them.
People glorify the past when the present is and the future looks bleak. For me, 2012 season is archived and going back further is pointless. But the same doesn't hold true for some.

Here is why the Jet's last second win was a good thing fellas. Do we want the Jets to get the #1 overall pick, so they can draft Teddy Bridgewater???

    NO we don't want that.

I think Jacksonville is the worst team in the NFL and they would get stomped on by Oregon and many of the top college teams. We want Jax to get the #1 overall pick and not the J-E-T-S. I am thinking the Jaguars could go 0-16. If you watched them play the "mighty" Chiefs yesterday, they were absolutely horrible. Probably the worst team I have seen in the past ten years.

they led us by 5 pts in that reg season game, it was a game very much still up in the air.

adding twerking to the stable of bad jokes? you are very timely.

we were exactly who I thought we were- one of the best teams in the league.

we were never going to be in the running for the #1 pick.

There's no point in talking about it b/c you aren't ever going to get through to him. Besides, do you disagree the Jets have been more successful recently? There's no real argument about it.

Apparently. If these guys want to waste their time talking about it then it's their own business. It's more of an offseason type discussion IMO and now that the new season has begun I don't see the point. But to each their own.

How about we quit bragging about our AFC Championship appearances (that neither of us won btw) and focus on the NOW. Both teams are 1-0 and looking pretty decent (though the Jest were totally bailed out by a bonehead play by the Bucs). I don't see the Pats losing to the Jest this coming Thursday
