Its funny Jets fans accuse Miami fans of living in the past, but lo and behold: They cant stop talking about losing in the AFCCG twice in a row.
Once Dmac is drafted a Dmac Jersey will spontaneously materialize in the closet of each and every Dolfan...

...and not that replica crap either...

    Because they lost both games.

They still got to the games though. Not trying to live in the past cause those days are long gone now and I understand that but you can't discredit the run they had. They finished better than all but 1 team in their conference in back to back seasons. They didn't get the job done but those were still nice runs.

Totally agree. I was just disputing the claim that nobody gives the Jets credit for it. Even though the Jets didn't get the job done in either of those games you can't discredit what they did. They had a nice run but at the end of the day they still get grouped in with the rest of the teams who didn't win the Super Bowl in those seasons. But I agree, those days are long gone now and the Jets are a much different team.

There was still another game after the Championship. And your team isnt even remotely similar to the team you took to those championship games. As well, like ive pointed out, those teams still werent good enough.

If we are going to start celebrating teams that dont win the Superbowl, we need to start with the Bills.

I've always given them credit for that. The Dolphins haven't done that ever. It is what it is. Both franchises still know nothing about what being in the Super Bowl is like though. That should be the biggest kick to our balls.

Whatever spin anyone tries to put on it, the reality is that the best of our respective "pasts" no matter how far back in the competitive post-merger era, is that one team's involved "winning" while the other's involved "losing" when it mattered most or - or even next to most.

I gave Barry Bonds credit for breaking Hammering Hank's HR record too - well at least until it was evident that it took more than his natural abilities to achieve that.
