Geno looked good at times last night but the rookie came out in him as well, which is expected. It's something the Jets are going to have to live with all year. Overall his performance was obviously not good but he's learning. Neither teams receivers helped out either QB, nor did the weather.
Difference in this sloppy game came down to experience at the QB spot. Brady refused to make the killer mistakes that Geno made. The biggest one was the first pick. The Jets were in FG range with a chance to tie the game, Geno, tried to make a play and it cost him. I thought the Jets had a real chance to win after he completed that long pass to Hill. A couple plays later after the pick I felt the game was pretty much over. Second pick was a physical error, he had a chance to fit that ball into Gates but under threw it, it happens, Gates probably would have dropped it anyway. As for the last pick...whatever. There was 46 seconds on the clock and the Jets had no timeouts. Everybody knew Geno was going to have to throw the ball down the field in a hurry if they wanted a chance at a FG. Poor decision but he had to attack.
Overall very sloppy game. Like I said the game came down to experience at the most important position and Brady was not going to let himself make the one killer mistake that Geno made.
