One coach of a quarterback-needy team said his team already has discussed $anchez internally as an option to be its starting quarterback in 2014.

“We’d take $anchez,” the coach said. “He’d be the starter as soon as he walked in the door for us.”

The coach quoted was Tony Sparano. Nothing here to see.

so the coach who was there when Mark had his worst season(and only bad season) would want him starting? If that was true that would be a big compliment.

Plus, if you look at FA market for QBs you begin to shudder. When you can put Chad Henne and Mark S.anchez on top of any QB group you know you are in trouble.

I don't care who is a FA, I have been told how badly he sucks and how he can't play in this league. If that was the case no one would want him. The reality is he had one bad year under awful circumstances and people in the game know he can play. That doesn't mean he's great or will be but he can play and you can win w/ him.

Virgin America airline and Jets quarterback Geno Smith have issued statements today regarding an incident that occurred last week at Los Angeles International Airport.

The statement from Virgin America reads:

“After a full review of the incident, we believe it was the result of a misunderstanding that regrettably escalated unnecessarily. We’ve apologized to Mr. Smith for his experience, which could have been better — and we’d welcome him back onboard any time. As an airline that prides itself on our guest service, we take incidents such as this one very seriously.”

    Smith in his statement said:

“I really appreciate that Virgin America took this seriously, looked into this matter and followed up with me. I look forward to flying their airline again soon.”

So what was the misunderstanding and who did the escalating? We do know that there were people at LAX who saw Geno yelling at Virgin America workers and being escorted away by cops. But what really happened on the plane to get him kicked off? There are so many different reports, it's ridiculous. First it was Geno got kicked off the plane because he was asked 3 times to get off his cellphone and would not. Then another report said that some flight attendant ripped off Geno's headphones initiating the conflict. Geno supposedly said he didn't know why he got kicked off the plane, and then said it was because he was black. This apology from Virgin America makes me wonder what really happened on the plane.
