Not sure you can cut Hartline without even seeing him play. Although this coaching staff has never been around him, they know he's a hell of a lot better than what we have (excluding Bess). No way they will cut Hartline just because he's injured.

May be hard for some to believe but when Hartline gets cut, there will be other WRs who get cut and will be looked at first.

2 TDs in 36 games doesn't equate to being a hell of a lot better then anything.

I chose the players that I listed because they have been mentioned by the beat writers several times as potential cuts and each has a good reason. Hartline has been unable to audition for his spot. Jerry had struggled early. We wont likely keep 4 QBs. I didnt intend it to be a jab at the Jets really, not consciously at least. I just think that these are players that will burn us the most if we do cut them in favor of other players.

so an injured Hartline is a starter on another team.. lol

    Jerry had struggled early.
and has struggled late. and an overeating, 30lb overweight Jerry, who throws up on the field is a starter on another team.. Lol (FYI - if it werent for Miami, he would be OUT OF THE LEAGUE)

Teams do not pick up QB's after the 3rd preseason game and make them starters (unless they are worthy, of which Moore is not and Garrard wont be playing).

Jerry will be manning our RG spot, so he won't be going anywhere. Hartline will get healthy and is staying on as well. Garrard might stay on for a little bit, but if he doesn't get healthy he's gone.

Now to answer OP's question. I think if we cut Hogan, Les Brown, Messam, Moore or Pruitt then they might get an opportunity somewhere else.

Pennington was released on Aug 7 by the Jets and became our immediate starter. The Jets are that kind of desperate IMO. If they are not, then they should be. I really dont think Hartline will start right out of the gates with anyone, but I can see him being the starter at some point and really screwing us on Sunday. Say what you want about Jerry's fat ass and his struggles, but we are not the only team that has holes on the Oline.
