Zach Thomas: I played against New England twice a year every year my whole career. I learned to not like that team. I wasn't going to join them.

Talk about buying high. Hey Jeff, this is something that maybe you should have done earlier.

i can only imagine what he thinks he's worth right now coming off beating up on bad cornerbacks...can only imagine...they better be careful with this contract
hoops scoops 2012 season ..."in 2014 ryan tannehill etches his name in stone amongst the games elite qbs"..."ryan tannehill and andrew luck will carry the afc for the next decade plus the way peyton manning and tom brady have this last decade plus"

Relax. Ireland knows what he is doing. There has to be a scale based on how many tricks the players mother may have turned. The contract will be right.

One thing I'll give Dawn Aponte and Ireland credit for is they dont hand out ridiculous contracts.

we'll see how right it is...i'd like to see the guy make more plays though against legit nfl corners if we are gonna pay him legit money...and that game against cro who is hot and cold for the most part hartline was shut down...that said i'd be ok with a $4 mil per deal...he's earned that...you get much above $5 mil though cause he's killing bad football players and i don't think it's a smart investment...i'd rather put that kind of money towards a legit guy...if it gets much north of $5 mil per

Word. You're not in the strongest negotiating position when the player you want to extend just had a 250 yard receiving game...

Ya but it is not like they are signing papers tomorrow or anything, they will take their time.
Everyone is expecting 2016 to suck, so I'm thinking it will likely be better than usual.

True, but if this is the starting point that's being established, the field is tilted heavily in Hartline's favor.
