Some people just feel that compulsion to make up a nickname.

I am just glad that LANGER72's Hennehill nickname back in March is not relevant now.

    Ryan "No nickname necessary" Tannehill.

It seems like people's brains can't handle QB names with more than four syllables.

    ≤ 4; no pun nicknames:
    Joe Flacco
    Joe Montana
    Dan Marino
    Cam Newton
    Tom Brady
    Mark Sanchez
    Kevin Kolb
    Tony Romo
    Matt Schaub
    Andy Dalton
    Brandon Weeden
    Peyton Manning
    Andrew Luck
    Jake Locker
    Matt Cassel
    Carson Palmer
    Phillip Rivers
    Eli Manning
    Michael Vick
    Jay Cutler
    Matthew Stafford
    Aaron Rodgers
    Christian Ponder
    john beck
    Drew Brees (OMG TWO SYLLABLES)
    Josh Freeman
    Sam Bradford
    Russel Wilson
    Tim Tebow
    Alex Smith
    Blaine Gabbert

    >4; nickname required to bring it down to 4 or fewer:
Ryan Fitzpatrick --> Ryan Fitz; Fitzy
Robert Griffin The Third ---> RG3; Baylor Bob
Ben Roethlisberger --> Big Ben; Rapelisburger
    Ryan Tannehill --> OGM TANNEKILL

Whaaaaat? No way man. Tilly sounds like a 70 year old lady's name.
I just try to be myself, whatever that is. I don't think about how I'll be remembered. I just want to be consistent over a long period of time. That's what the great players do.

All of a sudden everyones to cool for nicknames. Its just for fun why must their be justification for it? Enjoy life a little stop over analyzing everything. Its not like Ryan is going to change his name to one of our spins on it. Fans are just having a good time. TanneKILLS! GO PHINS!
