I could definitely see a scenario where the Dolphins get maybe Keenan Allen or Justin Hunter in the first and then trade back up for someone like Matthews. He's a guy that would make a lot of sense. Miami's offensive line is good, but Igcognito really doesn't fit the offense and Matthews could slide into to LG and either tackle position if there are injuries. That would be a heck of a line for the Dolphins and Matthews, like Tannehill, should be able to transition well to the NFL as far as being in a system he already knows. The fan base probably wouldn't like another lineman in Round 1, but with extra picks Miami could still get a pass rusher and help in the secondary in the 2nd and 3rd.

Would you consider drafting Swope and letting Bess walk?

I see Swope as another Hartline actually...although he gets in the endzone more than Hartline ever has. Good route runner, consistent pass catcher but he's not going to win jump balls and he's tough but not physical.

You never know what you're getting in a college receiver when you draft him. Scouts and GMs take in as much information as possible to make an educated guess...that's what they're paid to do. A lot of the guess work in the case of Swope would be taken out of the equation because he played for Sherman and has caught passes from Tannehill. He knows most of the offense, understands the concepts and probably wouldn't have a big learning curve in that regard...however, he doesn't see as much press coverage as he would in the NFL, he doesn't understand NFL defenses (and while Tannehill has picked this up quickly remember that Tannehill was a biology major and was going pre-med...he's pretty darn smart) and there are still some other variables you have to account for. With Bess you already know what you have. He's already proven himself on the NFL stage and he's still under contract through 2013...he'll be a free agent in 2014. He's playing under a very cheap contract...why would you let him walk? I think at some point we need to upgrade the spot with more speed but you can't address every spot on the roster in one draft and a big time boundary WR is a higher priority over a slot receiver right now. Slot WR isn't even on my radar for this draft.
