This is interesting because despite knowing nothing will come of it, I worry that some of these people are insane enough that they might actually try to start something here. This will be a fun story to follow over the next few weeks...

If I could take your pain and frame it, and hang it on my wall,
maybe you would never have to hurt again...

The hilarious irony is that if all those red states seceded, the percentage of the budget allocated to the entitlements they hate so much would actually decrease in America

That's the whole thing about this "entitlement" debate. The highest consumers of entitlement money are red states, yet they are the ones clamoring for it to end. On some level, I hope they get what they wish for and see what it's like to live without food stamps to pay for their 6 kids' meals. They'd probably still blame Obama if that happened, though...

In fairness, most of the people on food stamps and such in those states are voting democrat. Its still ironic and funny that by seceding theyd actually be lessening the load on America of one of their biggest complaints. The president would still be black though.

The entitlement aspect of this is amusing me endlessly. These people clearly had a feeling of entitlment towards the office of the Presidency. Now that they havent gotten there way, they are taking their ball and going home.

Also amused that the "patriotic, constitutional loving, army friendly, flag saluting" party states are the ones trying to desperately leave America. Guess this is what happens when you try and rig the election and still lose.

Not so much in the bible belt. In states like Nebraska, Kansas, and Oklahoma, the minority population is so small, it couldn't possibly account for their high spending in social programs. I agree that it's probably the case in the South though...

The government spends seven times as much on people over 65 than they do people under 19. The Republican base, in other words.
