Barry put fans in the stands and was fun to watch, but Emit was the better team player. Same thing with pittsburgh, who was better Parker of Bettis??

Now I am not saying Thomas is the answer back there but at least you are not afraid to give him the ball without handing him a compass. Reggie can't decide which freaking endzone to run towards. Not only should Reggie have been benched for the rest of the game, he should also be inactive for the bills game. I have a bigger problem with him running backwards than I do the fumbles but to be honest I can't wait for the offseason to see him in a different uniform.
Oh okay, so you aren't scared of Thomas runing the ball considering he fumbles on a hourly basis.

Sanders was NOT a team player? WTF?? are you insane? he played for the LIONS and carried that team single handedly wtf are you saying bro. Emmitt won championships? LMAOOO id love to see his rings with Aikman, Irvin and prime time. Now you just sound completely ridiculous.

This is why Twitter has carried majority of the knowledgable posters, too many bandwagon bull **** comments and posts. This is a waste of time.

This team has not accomplished enough for anyone to be "untouchable" in the way Harrison is suggesting. I suspect he's superimposing his experience of the New England Patriots team culture onto this situation, when in reality the two situations couldn't be more different.

When Reggie Bush comes out and has a great game in one that can get this team over the hump from mediocrity, such as the one in Indy, at that point he'll be the kind of leader who has far more an "untouchable" status on this team.

Until then, stop taking losses when we need a yard for a first down to kill the clock and win a game (which he'd done in two games earlier this season), and stop fumbling the ball. That's the message.

He may work hard, but until that "work" results in his becoming someone who plays big in big games and gets this team over the hump, he's just like anybody else.

and whats more of a shame is that there is 2 (two) WRs sittin right in front of us that we could pickup cheap , T.O. and plax both had almost 1000 yards respective and we are not even think that they even excists , imo thats ashame.

If a player isnt playing well he can ride the pine, doesn't matter who it is. Just because you are working hard doesn't mean you're playing well. So now the team is supposed to stop playing for philbin cuz he benched reggie!? Maybe reggie needed some time to sit back and reflect. all this drama is ridiculous.

I'd agree. This happened before with the Rams this year (I think it was week 1). Fisher benched S. Jackson in the first quarter when he committed a really dumb penalty around the goal line and they went to the rookie RB for the rest of the game. All I heard were crickets regarding that situation.

If Philbin wanted to make a point, instead of not giving him the ball at all, why not change the capacity in which he is used? We've all clamored for screens, inside slants, curls, "in the flats" type of use out of Reggie. It'd make sense to take him out of the running role and put him into a pseudo-receiving role.

Bush is not yet a leader IMO. When he comes out and plays big in a game that can get this team over the hump from mediocrity, such as the one at Indy, he'll be a leader at that point.

The leadership on this team isn't established enough to be treating anyone in any certain special way IMO. Things are still in flux at this point. Nobody has attained any "special" status as of yet, and for Philbin to treat anyone that way would put the cart before the horse and circumvent the development of that leadership.

Players need to earn that status, not have it handed to them, and earning it comes by and large from playing well in big games and helping the team develop in significant ways.

Joe Philbin has the development of a 53-man team to cater to first and foremost, not the treatment of any one guy who really hasn't established himself as a leader of that group in any significant way.

So why doesn't he bench Jake Long for all of his holding penalties.
