    The Marks Brothers

Hey all! Die hard fan since 83 when I was 10. Remembering the good OL days when Marino was slinging it to Duper and Clayton.

At that age my football Knowledge was pretty basic and didnt study or appreciate the nuances and skill sets of players. So If you could compare Duper and Clayton to a present day WR (or to say one that has played in the last 5 years), who would you say they most resemble?

Well, Duper was the fastest and Clayton was quicker. Both were shorter than most WR's now but great hands both of them. One thing's for sure. They don't remind me of anyone that has played for the Dolphins since them.I'd say that Clayton reminds me a little bit of Steve Smith of Carolina. Duper more like Wallace but a lot shorter.

Yeah I was thinking Steve smith as well. I think they were both like 5'9" right?

i only really remember the latter years in their careers but what really sticks out was the run after the catch ability and fearless nature of those 2. they both could go up and get the ball for 5ft 9 receivers, and man they broke a lot of tackles. watching them and dan are probably the best memories ill have as a dolphin fan.

Yeah, that's why I thought of him. Not very tall but quick and good hands both of them and they'd go get the ball....those were the days when we knew we were never out of the game. And to think Clayton was an 8 or 9 round pick.

Duper was an absolute burner. I remember sitting in the OB when he caught that long td to win the game against the jets. The thing about Clayton was how strong he was for his size. Each year, back than a bunch of nfl players would compete in all these offseason events like the nfls fastest and strongest. Clayton would actually compete in the weightlifting event. Even though the rest of the field was lineman and linebackers, Clayton always held his own
