    Matthews - "coming on"

Reference the below - I know he was only in for a handful of plays, but I really liked how he moved.. he came off the line strong, routes were good - and as Philbin said below, I really do think he looked like he belonged.

Really hope this results in more opportunities for Matthews - let's see what he has.

    Coming on
One of the bright spots in the loss to Buffalo was the play of rookie wide receiver Rishard Matthews. The University of Nevada product, who was playing in his second game, recorded his first NFLcatch. Matthews finished the contest with one reception for 19 yards and drew a pass interference penalty. He was one of five Dolphins players that recorded a catch in the loss."He looked like he belonged out there," Philbin said. "He did some good things. Hopefully he can continue to develop, but he earned the opportunity to play in the game. Some of these guys, you watch them in practice and you see them make catches and plays, and he deserved to be in the game."

Being at the game and being able to watch the personnel switches a little better, I felt like he was in quite a bit actually...

It's time to take the training wheels off the guy, we need to see what he's made of.

It's time to take the training wheels off a lot of guys. The staff as be using terms like "he's coming along" and "he is showing improvement" well I got news for you, you either get or you don't. Get these players in there and make an honest no bull**** assessment and if they show they are capable great, if not move on.
    Peace and Humptiness Forever

Yeah I agree. That means it's time to bench Odrick and start Vernon with Wake.

Maybe we'll get a chance to see Egnew as well? Charles Clay has been a major disappointment this season.

agreed, the rest of the season SHOULD be about talent evaluation, not telling us all over and over that people are looking good in practice. put the ****ers in a game, and see if they are worth that roster spot.

We need to throw more passes to him instead of 1 pass against the Bills and then not have any thrown to him the rest of the season.
Please God, let me see 1 Dolphins Superbowl victory before I die.
