Time For Philbin To Step Up

These next four or five games could define the future for Joe Philbin. I think the jury is still out on whether Philbin can be the kind of motivator that today's NFL Head Coach must be. He seems to have all of the other attributes required for the position...but can he motivate? Can he get his players to perform at a higher level under pressure? The great coaches of today and yesterday all could. That is the question for me. I really like the guy, don't get me wrong. I'm just not convinced he can push the players buttons...and when we face Seattle, the Patriots twice and the fricken 9ers, we are gonna learn a lot about Mr. Philbin under duress. I really hope he can, but if he can't how much rope do you give him?

The jury is out for sure. I remember when we interviewed him i thought he looked old and tired and i found out after that hes not all that old. But a lot can be said for a fiery coach like harbaugh or tomlin. Very different demeanors.
I hope philbin is the guy, im tired of waiting.

I agree....I think he knows pressure is on him,3 losses in a row would be a setback IMO.

Bro we need to remember this is his first year and this roster has a lot of holes in it still. We have some solid players but no game changers. I think Tannehill will be one, he just needs to take what comes to him, and get some better caliber players to push him and help make him better.

Thanks to Like2God for the great Avatar/Sig!

Whoever the GM is after this season, has to bring in a lot more talent. Especially talent at WR and Tight End to help Tannehill. Our o-line needs help and we need pass rushers and secondary help as well. The task is a big one. I hope our GM is up to the task. We have a lot of picks in the 2013 draft and they must be spent wisely.
Please God, let me see 1 Dolphins Superbowl victory before I die.

Harbaugh and Tomlin had teams with a lot of talent on them.

Theres only so much any coach can do with our lack of offensive talent against the 49'ers, Seattle's D and the Patriots. Face it guys those games will be blow outs. Did you watch the 49'ers last night? They are going to destroy us.

I can't believe some of you. Philbin looked old and tired in the beginning because he just buried his son! Sheesh get a clue people. Philbin is what Miami needs I don't care about the losses THIS year. THis team has very little talent. We have NO playmakers on offense....Bush has been awful. The defense is gettting exposed as well. Philbin is not a magician. This team needs work plain and simple. Philbin is doing great with what he has in my opinion. Next year would be a true read on Philbin's coaching skill!
