Miami has had their fair share of problems with arrests, but the Jets sure as hell are not full of high class players. In fact they have a lot of immature loud mouths, some with no class at all. On top of that, they are a sucky football team on decline. Tough times in New York.
yep, our guys have no class but your guys always getting arrested have class! and your guy gloating about the revis injury was all class!
We have idiots as every team does but our guys consistently stay out of trouble off the field, yours do not.
A couple of arrests doesn't define whether the entire organization has class or not. One big defense case for the Dolphins players that have got arrested over the years, a lot of them were first timers with clean pasts. That is not to excuse them at all for what they did, but it wasn't like the Dolphins were bringing in players with troubled pasts. Brandon Marshall is someone they brought in during the recent years that had a long list of off the field problems. I guess you could consider Jimmy Wilson also, but his crime was later saw as being self-defense.
The Jets bring in a lot of players with past problems: Ellis, Holmes, Burress, Landry, Cromartie, etc. Heck, even Mark Sanchez was arrested at USC on rape charges. Sanchez even had a relationship with a minor during his time with the Jets(pedophile?). That is just some of the players who have off the field issues the Jets have brought into their program. Sure not all of them were "arrested" as a member of the New York Jets, but there are a lot of players with character questions. Lets not also forget that your team loves to talk trash, your players and even head coach talk about hurting opposing players and do you remember Sal Alosi? Yeah, Rex retained that punk on his staff when he was named head coach.
Even with some arrests over the years, I think you would be hard pressed to find anyone not a Jets fan that thinks the Jets have more class than the Dolphins. Jets are a circus.
a couple? 28 arrests is a couple? 28 to 8? in 4 years undre Rex we have had ONE player arrested, in les than a year w/ Philbin TWO dolphins have been arrests.
we bring in a lot of guys that had problems elsewhere that don't have problems here b/c of the way the organization is run.
the perception we don't have class it out there b/c we have folks that talk but if you look at the facts our organization has been "classier" than most including the organization that has a celebrity owner that wets herself on stage, a GM that asks potential draftees if their mothers are prostitutes and arrest after arrest.
Again, not denying the Dolphins have more arrests in recent years then the Jets. The thing is, most of the guys that get in trouble are first timers. Doesn't excuse what they did but they are not being brought in as criminals like the Jets do.a couple? 28 arrests is a couple? 28 to 8? in 4 years undre Rex we have had ONE player arrested, in les than a year w/ Philbin TWO dolphins have been arrests.
The Jets organization is not ran very well and arrests doesn't dictate that or tell the whole story. Pittsburgh and Green Bay each have 9 more arrests then the Jets since 2000 and they are a much classier and well run organization then the Jets could ever dream of.we bring in a lot of guys that had problems elsewhere that don't have problems here b/c of the way the organization is run.
The Jets have class? The same organization that has a foot loving head coach that tells his players to hurt opposing players, players who clap and celebrate when opposing players get hurt, an assistant coach who tries and injure an opposing player, an owner who says winning is "not the most important thing" among other things. Remember back when the Jets beat the Patriots in the playoffs and the players ran around the field with their arms out like they were Jets flying and I believe it was Braylon Edwards that did a backflip. This was at the end of the game when teams ususally shake each others hands and show sportsmanship, that was classless and poor sportsmanship.the perception we don't have class it out there b/c we have folks that talk but if you look at the facts our organization has been "classier" than most including the organization that has a celebrity owner that wets herself on stage, a GM that asks potential draftees if their mothers are prostitutes and arrest after arrest.
Jets signed that 2 time felon from Detroit (name escapes me), signed Holmes, drafted that player who had a jail term hanging over him, hired a coach who pimped his wife to strangers by advertising her unpixelated cooter on alternative lifestyle sites, set up a bunch of jersey guido coaches to stand in formation to trip our gunner, traded for an illiterate deadbeat dad who doesnt even know all his kids names, and had to pay out $500k in arears child support to the baby mamas, sexually harassed a foreign female reporter, tried to pimp a female employee for the pleasure of a diva QB ..and that's not counting the inbred HC flashing birds and dropping F bombs on opposing fans. I know I left a couple of other examples out but I'm multi tasking presently. And that doesn't even include, Woody "Father of the Year" Johnson who was too busy meddling with the FO, trying to steal headlines and selling PSLs to parent his daughter, while Mrs Tila Tequila ran amock and ultimately OD'ed
