The Jets never got closer than 2 scores with 8:57 left on. That can not be considered a close game while the NE loss is considered a whooping. Please tell some other people that the Jets 30-17 loss was a close game but the NE 28-21 loss was a whooping and let me know the responses you get.

The Jets had the ball near midfield in the 4th qtr trailing by only 3. NE never had the ball in their hands at any point in the 2nd half where they could have tied or taken the lead, they also needed to attempt TWO onside kicks. If they didn't need to attemtp an OS kick maybe that's a little different but they attempted TWO.

    You are beyond hope.

Explain to me again how that makes it a whooping? Anytime a team has a chance to tie with an onside kick recovery, it can not be considered a whooping. Onside kicks are recovered about 25% of the time (probably less when teams are expecting them), so the chance was not great, but they did have a chance. The 2nd onside kick is meaningless since it came after a NE and Jets GT touchdown. The real chance was the first one when it was a 1 score game with around 2:00 to play.

The Jets were down 2 scores from 8:57 on in the 4th and would never even cut it to a 1 score game. Do you want to know what the chances are of winning a game when you are down 2 scores and never cut it to a 1 score game? That would be a 0% chance. No person in their right mind would call that a close game while calling the other one a whooping.

they controlled the game throughout, they turned a 45-3 previous game into a 28-14 lead late in the playoff game, a game where NE never had a chance to tie or take the lead in the 2nd half. Sorry if that bothers you.

Yes, the Jets did all of those things, but that doesn't make it a whooping. Why would it bother me? I didn't like seeing either team in the playoffs, but one team had to win. I was actually rooting for the Jets. If you can call it rooting.

People will actually be discussing the possibilty of winning the final 3 games to get the 6th seed. Hard to believe, but that's probably what the landscape will look like. When the networks show the playoff scenarios, you'll find us under the "in the hunt" category.

Meanwhile the Dolphins will get crushed the next two weeks and be sitting at 5-8, already eliminated, playing out the string and finishing with a worse record than the Jets ... as usual.

    Don't think so?
You don't think we'll beat the Cardinals at home with Ryan Lindley at QB, followed by a 2-9 Jaguars team?
You think you have any shot in hell of beating the Patriots or Niners?

Enjoy it now because in two weeks, everything I said will have happened and you'll have nothing left to say.
Well, well, well ... how about that. Look who turned out to be right.
Here's some advice for Kyndig and all the other ****-talkers ...
Before you open your mouth to kill the Jets, wait until your team doesn't suck.

So you are glad your ****ty team may somehow back into the playoffs?
Please do, please keep your moronic coach and QB.
Our future is bright, your team will be in their rightful place in the AFCE basement for years to come.
Once Dmac is drafted a Dmac Jersey will spontaneously materialize in the closet of each and every Dolfan...

...and not that replica crap either...

There's no such thing as backing in, you either win the required amount of games ina given season or you don't whether that's starting out 11-0 and losing your last 5 or starting 0-5 and iwnning your last 11. It doesn't matter. 3 times since 2007 we have seen 9-7/10-6 teams win SBs, all that matters is you get in and you have a chance.

You don't have to tell me Miami has a brighter future, I've been here since 2004 and you guys always seem to have a brighter future, it's that pesky present time that always gets in the way.

Ummmm ... yeah. That makes sense since the only way we'll be in the playoffs is if we WIN OUR LAST FIVE GAMES.
Two down, three to go ... and if we do win those next three, then YES ... we'll happily "back in".

Meanwhile, your team is heading full speed ahead towards another losing season. Congratulations on your Par.
You might want to check the NFL QB Ratings. That rising star you have at QB ... the one who will lead you to that bright future ... is ranked #33
... right next to Sanchez. Can't seperate them ... Just like Peas and carrots! (Just a reminder - the NFL only has 32 teams)

Here's another Jet mind-blowing stat!!! Since 1970 the Jets have only had 2 QB's that threw 20+ TD passes in more than one season. Ken O'Brien in 1985 and 1986. Vinny Testaverde in 1998 and 2000.

Marino had more seasons with 20 or TD's than the entire history of the Jets!!!
