Has nothing with him sucking or going on the IR and everything to do with the fact that we were rebuilding from the second we traded Brandon Marshall. If we were going to rebuild, we should have gone all the way, not half assed, as usual.

    Now his value is ****.
Dude, We decided it was a Rebuilding Year when we Lost 2 Games to 2 Terrible Teams the Cardinals and Jets in OT, and Lost at Home 37-3 to the Titans. And Choking against the Colts. How is the Colts Rebuilding going this Year? They were 2-14 last year man.

    Clearly on purpose.

Sign Long for bargain right tackle money, build in some escalators for on the field performance. Everybody wins.

I'm not usually ready to jump on people over every little thing, but the paragraph below is absolutely horrible. If he had written this for an introductory journalism class, there would be a big red circle around it with "see me after class" scribbled in the margin.

A highly-placed team source texted me Monday and said "all options available" and on the table to the team. There has been no decision to sign or not sign, franchise or not franchise Long at this moment. All options are open and the Dolphins will consider all of them. None have been eliminated at this point.

Best case scenario is he wrote many different ways to say the same thing and never went back to edit it. Worst case scenario: he's stupid.

I can't speak for others, but I don't knee jerk. I've been saying since the beginning of the season that I don't want Long back. If Martin gets destroyed, oh well. The solution imo doesn't involve spending serious money on Long when he cannot be counted on to stay healthy. He breaks down every year. Other teams find good left tackles without committing a huge portion of their cap to it. We need to follow suit.

He said preseason, many of us wanted him traded at that time while he had value. IMO its borderline retarded to just let him walk when we could have gotten a first for him.

You didn't see it as a rebuilding year before the season when we traded 2 of our best players for 2013 draft vouchers?

25 million and you want playmakers???
Try 19 million after we sign our draft class and Jake Long

What about the 22 players left or their replacements that are left on this team
Sign Starks and subtract approximately 6 million now leaving 13 million total

Sign Hartline and subtract approximately 4 million leaving 9 million

Sign Smith and subtract at least 5 million or more leaving 4 million left

We need to sign 2 QBs since only Tanny is under contract next season
figure a vet and maybe Devlin again approximately 3 million leaving
1 million left for signing these players or their replacements

1 million to sign the players or their replacements below

    Bush,Amaya,Barker,Clemons,Fasano,Feigna,Freeney,Garner,
    Mastrud,McCann,McDaniel,Moore,Murtha,Spitler,Stanford,Thigpen,Trusnik

Sorry, but their will be NO playmakers signed if we franchise Jake Long
