Man, those who hate Tannehill sure do hate indisputable, video evidence that they are WRONG.

I love Tannehill...but that pass was late and overthrown. Brian was expecting the ball to be in the air when he looked back. BH had already used his burst to get open and had no more acceleration to get to the ball once he looked back. Tanny thought he could still accelarate to the ball and still make the catch. More of a chemistry/experience issue than anything else at this point.

I said monday that he just barely missed that pass. It did touch his fingers and yet people on here were acting as if Tanny missed him by 10 yards. I agree that the other one was under and yet it hit Hartline right in his belly and he normaly would catch that pass but yes, it was short. I see more potential with Tanny than I've seen on any QB we've had since Marino left. I'm totaly willing to give him some time to grow and I think he'll be fine.

It appears to me that Tannehill slightly overthrew him. The real mistake imo was putting too much arc on the ball so that he could drop it over a defender, but that wasnt necessary. Hartline turned around early but it didnt appear slow him down. Even if he did, it was because thats where he was expecting the ball on the route, and RT held the ball a little long. Eventually, Tannehill will be making those throws with ease.

Come on now... you have VIDEO evidence that he clearly overthrew him.

The lengths people will go to to not criticize the QB here is astounding.
i hate to say it but I'm afraid most fin fans are going to blindly love Tannehill just like some of the Sanchez apologists. This kid can do no wrong in some people's eyes. I can't give anyone the crown until they prove they can wear it. The verdict is still out on Tannehill, at least for 2 more years, but if he plays like this next year, this board will be split between the headhunters and apologist.

Its actually pretty common on 15 yard routes. Maybe RT held the ball too long or didnt see him in time? Maybe Hartline wasnt the primary WR?

So Tannehill missed some throws Sunday. It happens. Brady missed two himself. You guys realize the wind was blowing about 25mph which makes it really tough to hit those throws perfectly don't you? To me the worst throw Tanny had was the one in the back of the endzone, but that was no worse than Brady's overthow to Hernandez that would have been an easy TD. It's not that Tanny can do no wrong (he has), it's that it's WAY too early to really critically judge his growth and development. How many picks did he throw against the most prolific team in the NFL at creating turnovers?

I like that Philbin is holding Tannehill responsible, saying he has to make that throw, but ultimately it hit him in the hands, both sides could have done better, and I think that all comes with time, I think next time the opportunity is there Tannehill knows right where to put the ball, and Hartline makes the catch in stride.

So I never got to watch this game and all along I thought the Tannehill over throw was like a ten yard miss throw hahahahahaha, people are really pounding the drum about his lack of accuracy from a pass that actually went off the finger tips!

This makes it even more laughable to me.

If we are just talking about this throw...yes, he overthrew him. Its not something to chastise a young QB about though....it happens.

So annoying hearing any excuse...as well as those harping on the negatives. If we had any weapons for the kid, we probably wouldn't be talking about this.
