So what you are saying is they fail to anticipate a problem they created. How much does Ireland and his lackys get paid??? I need in on that.

Ireland is a drain on this team. His aprrenticeship with Parcells, his backing of Sparano, his comments about Dez Bryants mother. Add to the fact that he has made players second guess coming to Miami in free agency.

We need this infectious element free from this organization. This team needs new energy and fresh air. Ireland embodies old and busted, and we need new hotness (To quote Men in Black)
Every Dolphins game is like a box of chocolates...

"The organization has struggled from a personnel standpoint over the years. For instance, they drafted me in the second round. . . . You don't recover from those types of mistakes." - Rob Konrad on the team's questionable draft picks from 1998-2003.

Is Ireland any more toxic to the Dolphins fanbase than the waiter who put 'fat chicks' on his table ticket description tab? When there's that much of a stigma that it keeps fans away like holy water to Dracula don't ya gotta fire the guy just as a matter of self-preservation (as an organization). Jeff Ireland has this team on a path to contraction of the franchise.

Time to fly the banner 'FIRELAND" over the half empty stadium. Ross needs a red hot cattle prod to get the message

I have a hard time deciding which way to side on this one.
When you look at the bottom line, four straight losing seasons doesn't equate to Ireland deserving to keep his job. While he has boosted the talent level on this team from where it was, he has added more mediocre players and very few difference makers.
On the other hand, one of the biggest problems this organization has faced over the years has been lack of continuity. From ownership, to GMs, to coaches and players. While firing Ireland may seem like a great idea on the surface, it may continue to set us back because we are basically starting over in the personnel department again.

Maybe the solution is to promote Brian Gaine, who is likely to be a target somewhere this offseason. Not sure how much Gaine is an extension of Ireland, or someone who could bring some fresh ideas this team sorely needs.

We are facing one of the biggest offseasons in recent memory with money to spend and draft picks to supplement the team. Whether or not we want Ireland making those decisions will impact this franchise for years to come.

Ireland NEEDS to go. That much is obvious. Do not know WHO to get to replace him BUT somebody who has better talent scouts. AND A COGENT PLAN!

I disagree. he did a solid Draft and has made all the moves to have 5 picks in the first 3 rounds for next years Draft. he also managed well the Cap space so I really look forward to the offseason which should be very interesting and exciting. after that we`ll see how he did.
