Dolphins need to hang heads high after holding Patriots to 23 points (NE 42 - HOU 14)

Anyone watch the absolute destruction of the Texans-- with the best record in the NFL?

Here is the following points scored for the Patriots in the last weeks:
    vs. Hou -- 42
    @ Mia -- 23
    vs. NYJ -- 49
    vs. IND -- 59
    vs. BUF -- 37
    @ STL -- 45

Now I know this thread is out of place-- I'm not bashing Ryan Tannehill, but we have a damn good defense. We played two of the best teams in the NFL, all the way to the 4th quarter. Yes, we did fall short. Yeah, yeah, no moral victories, but we have a rookie HC, rookie QB, no #1 receiver, and a mediocre secondary.

This team has a lot to look forward too. In fact the only dissapointment game this year was that Tennesee game.

Anyway. The forum needed a happy thread.

Some claim it's because the Patriots were bored etc. Basically giving every other excuse besides the Dolphins defense held them to 23 points period.

I call BS. They didn't punt in the entire first half or 4th quarter and basically killed the entire 4th quarter running the clock down with the lead. I'm sure they could have scored 40 easily if they had to. If you're a TD down and you can't stop them from running the same play over and over you're not just bad, you're an embarrassment.

If Miami is an embarassment what is Houston, and their previous 11-1 record?

Only difference, Miami is the only team to NOT play them in Foxboro (the St. Louis game was in London). Just wait until week 17.

I would trade our entire defense for JJ Watt. Their D wasn't as bad as the score indicated, they stopped the Patriots quite a few times. Their offense couldn't do anything and turned the ball over.

Overrated and I have been saying it all year! They have struggle with teams like Jax they will get knocked out of the playoffs first game they play. Other then that I don't feel better because we lost by less then another team to many variables a loss is a loss.
The above post is not subject to penalty under the TOS I declare the Hayden Fox defense. " It is impossible for the staff to know my context therefore I cannot be penalized"

look at what our D has done this season when we needed them.

    Caved against the Jets twice
    Caved against Arizona
    Actually stopped the Bengals
Caved against the Colts. Luck breaks records. Smith drops an INT that would have tied the game
    Blown out by the Titans
Couldn't stop the Patriots from going up 2 scores
Couldn't stop the 49ers from going up 2 scores.

And they have like 1 turnover in 6 games or something.

I knew this thread was coming. Much like the Giants game last year, we have to accept the fact that elite teams don't get up to play us. Our offense is such a continuous slog that it slows the entire game. The patsies did what they needed to do to beat us.
