i think it's big for ireland and tannehill needs to get it done...this is a game that tannehill needs to put the team on his shoulders and get the win...i don't realy think this game will effect joe philbin nor do i think it should cause by my count this teams shown up every week and been prepared to play 12 out of the 13 games and imo thats very reflective of the head coach...joe philbin should not be on any hot seat....his offensive coordinator however should be taking some heat...ireland should be taking heat for the personnel deficiences of which there are many
hoops scoops 2012 season ..."in 2014 ryan tannehill etches his name in stone amongst the games elite qbs"..."ryan tannehill and andrew luck will carry the afc for the next decade plus the way peyton manning and tom brady have this last decade plus"

I agree that Joe should not be any type of hot seat. However, I am confused of what Joe Philbin is responsible for around here. He is supposedly an offensive guru. Yet, he gets a pass in that when the O is not productive enough it is about not having weapons and the play calling. Isn't Joe a part of this process? Isn't he on the headset with Sherman. Isn't he helping devise the week's game plan?

From a talent standpoint, I can remember him saying the "#1 receiver is the open receiver". He is the one that did not want Marshall around...I do not actually disagree with him jettisoning Marshall, but I would have done more to have more weapons than we currently have.

My point is that Philbin was brought in to Miami to spark an offense and that offense is not even as productive as Brian Daboll's.

So we are not confused going fwd. with my takes...that is why I am saying Joe needs much more time. However, that is also why I am saying that these last few games are important. These last last few games can be a bridge to next year if the team demonstrates improvement.

I don't hate Henne or anything but, man, would it be nice if he throws like 3 INTs and just sucks.

I predict Henne will have some big numbers but will flounder at the end.

Winning doesn't necessarily guarantee Ireland's job security.
I just try to be myself, whatever that is. I don't think about how I'll be remembered. I just want to be consistent over a long period of time. That's what the great players do.

HUGE. That's what she said Dude. A Game against the Jacksonville Jaguars is not Huge. It is only a Big Deal if we Lose. If we lose to the Jags at Home Sunday, You can officially say this Season was as Big a Bust as some of the Tony S. Seasons, and not as bad as the Cam Cameron Year, but a True Waste of a Season. Good Teams Win at Home. It starts there. You have to Defend your Home Turf. Look at the Pats last night. The Dolphins are a Team without Identity.

" home turf" should never be in the same sentence as the dolphins/sunlife..more like neutral.." Lets defend our neutral field.".. Lol...joke of an arena for a profootball team.

Considering the Mayhem that took place during training camp after the Vontae Davis Trade, Chad Johnson Release, Dansby's Comments and the Teams poor play during the Pre-Season Games; Having 5 wins so far is more than I think most would have anticipated. I bought into the negative hype and predicted 4-5 wins after initially thinking 6-8 wins With Moore as the starting QB and the schedule Miami had. As a Dolfan I hate to lose and to be honest, 2011 was the year to NOT WIN, with Luck as the PRIZE!!! After the OT losses to NY and AZ and initially getting solid O-Line play early on, things unraveled a bit. Even during the 3 Game winning streak the O-Line played below Average, but wins still happened because Tannehill and the Defense were making plays. Winning the next 2 games IMHO is just a measure of where the team is actually at, with that being a Team, Good Enough to stay in most games against most teams, while having lost several close games. But not Good Enough to win consistently and Good Enough to Beat the Bottom Half of the League!!! What I've taken so far from this season has been 1) Too many TO's Deep in Miami territory 2) A Rookie QB with minimal starting Experience who showed enough Tools to think with more experience he can become more consistent and improve to become top NFL QB. 3) There is a serious lack of Speed on Offense and not enough TE's or WR's who can get open consistently Down Field. 4) Incognito is not a good fit for the blocking scheme currently employed by Coach Philbin, coupled with the apparent regression of Jake Long. 5) The Secondary needs more speed as well as a playmaker, whether it be a CB or Safety. I'm not sure what will happen to Ireland, but am still worried that bringing in ANOTHER GM, could set back the franchise even more, due to the possibility that he may want to clean house. Drafting is not easy, you could make a case for ALMOST EVERY Teams GM of being less than stellar. While I want to have the good feeling of winning the next few games, just because they are suppose to be WINNABLE Games, I'm not gonna jump off the bridge, IF Miami loses!!! Tannehill and Philbin need more help in terms of WCO type players. If after 2014 there has been no improvement from the WCO, the players on the team or in Philbin, perhaps it would be wise to consider a change, but, IMHO not before, with a HIGH Probability that Ireland will probably be gone after 2013.
