The team we're fielding this week has to be in the running for the least talented team of this century. Hell you could probably make that argument even with Bess, Hartline, Thomas, Carroll and Richard Marshall all still in there.

Thats really quite an accomplishment after having the chance to build for 5 years.

On the bright side Philbin and Tannehill must be superstars to have this team a missed field goal away from playoff contention.

Then he trades away a solid NFL cornerback and also decides we need no depth there. Now we go into a game with the Bills with playoff implications(very, very ,very slight but not the point) and we are trotting out a bunch of receivers best suited for the practice squad as well as a plethora of corners that have been cut all around the league. As bad as the AFC has been this year just actually addressing these positions with even the slightest bit of actual talent we could have possibly been a playoff team. Its fine that we have some extra draft picks next year(odds are that the late second round pick will probably not be a better player than Davis and Egnew for marshall is pretty lopsided so far and u probably can bet his career wont be close to Marshall) but they could have easily fielded a better team this year. Dont worry Locke Im waiting on your no thanks but please explain how Im wrong for this viewpoint when you do it. We could have drafted a WR over a third rb or TE or addressed CB but we didnt.
I stopped reading after you called Vontae Davis a solid NFL corner ... what has Vontae done all year? even before he was injured, he was getting torched! peope just need to admit that getting a second for Vontae before his value started to dramatically decline was an indeniable steal for us! granted, Ireland should have had a replacement ready, but i honestly think the secondary would have been worse with Vontae. its very telling when Carroll, Richard Marshall, and Sean Smith were all rated higher then Vontae

The Fins organization needs stability, getting rid of Ireland will not do that. We cannot keep changing the front office and the coaching staff every other season and expect to be able to compete. It is simple. If the company you worked for changed leadership every 2-3 years and changed their procedures along with it, would it succeed? Obviously not. Ireland, Philbin, and Tannehill are tied together - and that is the way it should be. Give them all a chance to succeed or fail together.

More B.S. CK put some stats up earlier that showed VD was playing well this season. If we had kept VD and traded Smith to the Colts Smith would be the one getting all the hate.

Stability's good if it's working. What good does it do to keep a guy that's been here for 5 years and has done nothing but lose? Philbin and Tannehill are in their first year so we need to keep them but Ireland has to go and 95% of the people on this board agree. Only a few people here think we should keep the guy in charge that has put together one of the worst rosters in recent memory.

Insanity= doing the same thing and expecting a diferent result.

The horse is still alive and well right now.

If I lived in Miami and was a season ticket holder I would write a letter to Ross that would go like this:

    Dear Mr. Ross,

I've been a season ticket holder for xx years, if you retain Ireland and I don't like what I see this offseason I won't be renewing until the team gets turned around.

    Sincerely,

    Disgruntled Dolphin fan.

Well to put it in perspective Hagan is the third receiver for Oakland he has 19 receptions.
    Marlon Moore has 6 receptions
    Rishard Matthews has 6 receptions
    Armstrong had 3 receptions
    Nannee 1 receptionGaffnet 4 receptions

So Derek Hagan has as many receptions as our entire wr corp outside of Hartline and Bess, now thats a sad indictment of our receivers

Ireland should have been fired yesterday. In fact this whole roster has to be gutted.....I'd say within 2 years a NEW GM will have to replace most of Irelands picks...This roster has to have an 80- 85% turnover. Ireland, the caste whore that he is will go down as one of the worst GM's of all time. His track record says so.

Steven Ross must not accept this mediocrity.
