His eye for talent at the WR and TE position is concerning. With that being one of our biggest needs, I just feel that he is going to screw it up somehow. I hope Philbin is more of an influence on draft day decisions, he seems to know what he wants.
If You Never Do, You'll Never Know
I'm happy to give him this off season to finally make my judgement on him. The past draft was the best one we have had in 15-30 years, and it is his first year with a proper head coach so I'm intrigued to find out how he gets on this off season. Having said that if he flops I think it is time to get a new GM, I can't see the fans accepting many more losing seasons.

I have no problem saying that anyone who voted 'yes' in this poll is clearly blind, delusional, or simply high as a ****ing kite.* Look at his draft record, look at his record in free agency, look at the lack of Pro Bowl players on the roster, look at the pitiful offensive showing, look at the team's complete inability to compete with top tier teams.
* I will also accept the excuse that you clicked on the wrong option by accident.
I'm here to tell the truth about top secret Air Force project BAR STOOL. Gamma ray radiation from the particle accelerator under Joe Robbie Stadium is real! Get out while you can! This bad football team is just a front for something far more sinister!
This is to the mods. Can we please start a sticky thread on draft day? I want all of you brilliant GM's on this board tell me who we should have picked and when. That why you may finally realize why you are working at burger king instead of in the front office of an NFL team.
I think it's a lot more likely that the people who embrace Jeff's ****ty performance are the ones who underachieve in life.
Hmmm why do u bring up Madden crap. Just saying there were better players on board at positions of need when we drafted. i questioned many of these picks as they happened not 3 years later.
Just comparing his picks to guys we needed and how they turned out. As for Grove hate to tell u half of his contract was guaranteed so u might want to check your facts. over a third of Smiley's contract was guaranteed. So Jake Grove gone in 2 years and Smiley gone in two were not mistakes. What does Ireland have to do for u to even imply he made a mistake. We needed a TE for a while and passed on much better prospects than Egnew.
When Death Smiles Upon You the Infantryman smiles back
Wont even get into how laughable it is to excuse Ireland for giving out +$20 million guaranteed to 2 oft-injured players. Let me guess, Ireland was shrewd for "only" giving Marc Colombo $2 million?
