Isn't that capitalism at its best? You invest, you lose, tough luck.

Is it the governments role to determine winners and losers in a Capitalistic society?

Or were you just failing at snarky again?

The GOP's problem is it actually believes some of its fear based themes. There's great vulnerability attached to that, as opposed to desperately hunting for Obama's birth certificate. If you're wrong there, everybody knew you were out of your mind to begin with. But when you start actually predicting outcomes, like the 1993 Clinton Budget Act destroying the economy, or the auto bailout as a guaranteed failure, you run a slight risk of people remembering, and therefore dismissing your next batch of fear-based rants.

As always, never prevent a Republican from sounding like a Republican.

do us all a favor and realize most of us are not party line republicans and democrats. its always the same divisive bs from you, there are some things i am liberal on and alot of things i am conservative on. just because a person believes it is not a good idea to subsidize american companies (oil companies, farmers, auto companies, etc), especially when they should be allowed to go through bankrupcy, doesnt make them a republican. i cant stand the majority of republican lawmakers. but i am principled in my desire to see companies thrive or fail on their own.

Me either. If I ever buy domestic again, it'll be a Ford. But I can't lie, I'm loving my MINI...

If I could take your pain and frame it, and hang it on my wall,
maybe you would never have to hurt again...

true story, mini's are nice, are they still owned by BMW? i used to have a bimmer 330ci, when i thought i was cool about 7 years ago or so. the bimmer dealer where i live had a mini dealer attached. those cars can take corners on a dime.

its tough for me to buy domestic because japanese cars are so reliable. at this point in my life, i like knowing that i wont have to go to the dealer to spend 2 grand to get my car fixed.

Yeah, they're owned by BMW. I test drove one and fell in love immediately. I had it up to 90 mph without even trying, and the thing hugged the road. If it ever needs repairs, it's gonna be expensive as hell, but luckily they tend to be pretty reliable...
