    Mingo

Looking at the DE's in this draft and just looking at Mingo vs. the T A&M Tackles ala Drafttek vid my impression is he is light in the pants (240 lbs) and gets blown back a lot although he has good speed and motor. Not sure he is what I would want at 12 for my DE in a 4-3. He almost looks like he could be a good OLB in a 3-4.

When I watch Mingo I can actually deal with his being light and able to be knocked around a little bit in the run game. What I can't deal with is a guy being a specialist that way too often isn't actually special at what he's trying to be a specialist in. If you're a pass rush specialist that has weaknesses elsewhere, your strength better be real strong. He's got so much ability to move around but he's not translating it into actually getting after the quarterback. It's very disconcerting.

I'd take him in a heartbeat. Let him get in that three point stance and explode like he does. He has the frame to bulk up a bit. It wouldnt take much to tack some muscle on that frame.

when talking about his game against A&M, it should be noted that those A&M boys are no slouches and some of the best OL you will find.

Mingo would come in to be a situational pass rusher the first year more than likely, and I'd be completely fine with that. Give him his reps on those obvious passing downs and give him a year to put some bulk on to come into a larger role.

He's not coming in as a 3down guy in his first year, but his pass rush tools and his upside, I'm still taking him every time if he indeed falls to me... I don't see rex ryan passing this guy up, so I'm not sure it's even going to matter.

I've watched mingo get stopped at the POA, plenty against left tackles and right tackles.. conversely, I've also seen him beat double teams, (which he sees plenty of), from left tackles and left guards, and he still got through both and hits the qb and disrupts the play.

I've seen mingo have such a tremendous burst that he beats a pulling backside guard by a mile and makes a sack on the qb, before anybody even knows what the hell just happened.

I've seen mingo tips balls, and spot draw plays and stop the rb for minimal gains. conversely, I've seen him get such fast pressure on the qb, that he blows right by him... and get so deep on penetration that he gets beat on a draw

what your drafting here, is tremendous upside. ridiculous tools... you're expecting a coaching staff get the most out of those pass rush tools and upside..

barkevious mingo has the tools to be a real boss as an edge rusher. we need another guy who can get to the qb and cause sacks and strip fumbles. mingo is a guy who will do that.

Lisfranc in his foot. Happened early in the season thankfully, so he should be able to be.recovered in time.

I read on espn somewhere, he is on pace, in his own words, to participate in the nfl combine. I think he was a first rounder before the injury. It will be.interesting to see how he does and just how far he falls.

I keep hearing about his freakish ability, but at 12 I'd be a bit concerned over the clear limitations against the run and the fact that he only had 4.5 sacks and no forced fumbles against top competition. I see he get's compared to JPP but he goes 275-280lbs vs 240 for Mingo. Not it the same ballpark there. Just a chancy pick that could be great but definitely has some bust possibility.
