Someone just posted a list involving Chris Gamble, and proceeded to label that list the "best of the best CBs"

    Holy ****.

Not to mention you should probably look into how good Nnamdi was this season. Hint - he was atrocious.

Never seen so much love for a **** player.

If all we expect out of our corners is that they start games, dont make interceptions, and forget any ballskills they do otherwise possess why dont we just draft trufant and hawthorne and have about 2-3 million tied up in corners?

the best thing Smith ever did was that interception in a preseason game. that was pretty sick. too bad it didn't count.

A few times I bet the over and Smith gave up a late reception to help me win. So it's not all bad.

He also fits our current need for less than solid or stable personalities, guys who aren't particularly bothered by winning 6 or 7 games per season, and would never be mistaken for the early '70s types.

I've no problem with Smith asking for 7m a year as long as it's another team that pays up - he may well get it given the way free agency inflates everything. In general the record of expensive free agent corners around the NFL is pretty awful I would say - and that's for guys that have usually shown at some point that they can really play and compete

Happy to take my chances in the draft if it comes to it
