    Madison coul be gone.

"Starting cornerback Sam Madison also has a decision to make. Madison, who has a 2004 cap salary of $8 million, could be released if he doesn't accept a salary reduction. Gene Burrough, Madison's agent, declined to discuss the specifics of the Dolphins' proposal."

    Ira new article.

This would be the right move. Releasing him would free up millions in future cap space.

but the cap hit for 2004 would be too risky.. considering what the team is trying to do with free agency... waiting for 2005 would make more sense..

I don't know if the rumors are true that he is really anti-wanny... don't know if his "attitude" will split the team. Plus if it gives us decent savings... It may be time to part ways whether it is a trade or just cutting him.
Offseason again... at least this one should be exciting!

Are the Fins asking him to take an actual pay cut or do they simply want to restructure his contract (but take no actual paycut)??
