Phinatics Patience vs Team Solutions in 2013

Many Phans of the Miami Dolphins have lost patience with the team after many years of mediocrity and worse. It does not take a "rocket surgeon" to see, just look at the attendance with Ross and advertisers spending a ton of money to buy tens of thousands of unsold seats to be allowed to televise the games last year.

Phans don't even have guys to "dislike" or Boo like Ginn, Henne, Tuna, and Tony, which leaves only Ireland becoming extremely boring as well as extremely over done. As a result, many Phans have just stopped caring with a let me know when there is something worth caring about again because I'm So Tired of trying to believe.

This is one hell of a problem for Ross, Ireland, and Philbin to solve. Building through the draft would have worked 4-5 years ago but, no longer. Phans are not gonna get excited, and buy tickets, to see our top pick to block, tackle, or cover. What is the team to do?

We could promote Tannehill who looked good but, not the same as RG3, Wilson or Luck to make a BIG impact. Many fans like Big Jake, who will likely be gone, and Bush, who also could be gone. We do have better teams coming in next year, and that will sell some tickets, although to see the other team.

IMO, this leaves the team one option, which is FA, and only one position to look to, which is WR. We MUST sign at least one of the Big Three WR's, two being better, to create a BUZZ for this years team. There is no other choice, aside from maybe having to "listen" to games on the radio for many.

RG3 is gonna be out the league in 5 years if he don't learn to play differently.

    Winning fixes everything.

And we did try and build through the draft 5 years ago. We stocked up on picks and kicked out veterans. It failed.

Tannehill and Bush are the only 2 offensive play makers and "faces" of the franchise. Defensively we have Jones and Wake, but several others developing. We should see an influx of speed and hands at WR and TE this season, as well as LMiller at tail back.

Even with the lack of play makers we were only a few FGs away from 9-7 and the playoffs with a mediocre talented team. Having Philbin, Tannehill, and some new TD scorers should give us much to look forward to in 2013 and 2014.

Do you really think that the team's front office truly understands how disheartened their fan base is and how much credibility a decade of mediocrity has cost the franchise? I believe the franchise is on the verge of losing their traditional position as South Florida's best loved sport franchise to the Heat. I also believe that once this goodwill is lost by Dolphins it will take the franchise a generation of winning to re-earn it. Sports fans in South Florida have lived through more fire-sales by the Marlins and the Panthers than any city should have to endure. Once the goodwill is lost it won't come back with single winning season - very few fans trust the management team to deliver a winner. I don't see that Ross and Ireland understand the precipice upon which this franchise stands. It appears to me that they believe business as usual is good enough? Thoughts?

Parcells & Co. did a half rebuild. going 11-5 that season gave every1 a false vision that we had a wayyy more talented teamthan we actually had, which resulted in Parcells not making many upgrades to the team in the following off-season (our biggest move was probably siigning Jake Grove), then he decided to run away with his money to save face from being blamed for the disaster he left us in. it's continued to go down the drain ever since.......

but i digress, lets all just get over the Tuna and his big ego (that goes for other past Dolphin misfortunes also). thats the past, we all know what happened. lets just look forward to the future. it may be hard to be excited for a team that has let u down time again, but lets be honest here- the job of a TRUE fan is to at the very least be optimistic. if you're not at least optimistic about your team going into the off-season, then why not just pick a different favorite team? (general statement to many posters on finheaven)
