Does this surprise anyone? If he tries to take a dump, his bowel movement gets filibustered...

If I could take your pain and frame it, and hang it on my wall,
maybe you would never have to hurt again...

Well, he shouldnt have burned all political capital should he?

Besides, fillibustering has only gotten worse in the last 2 deades, on both sides. Its all a part of the do nothing REAL agenda both parties have.

Please don't make an excuse for this... A filibuster wouldn't even be necessary to block this.

I would be less offended as an American if he just used the constitution to wipe his ass. Checks and balances are there for a reason... This is worse than the Patriot Act, at least that occasionally saves lives.

Not when it comes to things he wants like NDAA and Patriot Act extensions.

I'm not defending this. I'm simply stating it's a natural consequence of having everything he does filibustered. If someone believes they'll never get anything done with the help of others, they'll find ways to do what they think is right some other way. I'm just surprised it took this long...

I'm saying its wrong and it's not something that I thought Obama would take this radical of a stance on.

I would hope you're not defending this. I don't give a **** if everything he tries to do gets filibustered. The purpose of a constitution is to set up the rules for what government can and cannot do. In the US, we have a system of checks and balances that ensures we do not end up with a tyrant in control.

Regardless of the party affiliation of the POTUS, I hate the very idea of the EO existing.

And, why are you "surprised it took this long" ... are you insinuating that you thought he would try to circumvent Congress?

I kinda wish that he does do it. Then you will see some real resistance to government and rightfully so.

Obama has not issued 900 executive orders. He has signed slightly fewer orders than President George W. Bush during this point in his first term, according to the University of California, Santa Barbara, which tracks executive orders. Obama has issued 139 executive orders as of Sept. 25. (The U.C. website listed 138 orders on Sept. 25, the same day Obama signed order 139). Bush issued 160 executive orders through Sept. 20, 2004, a comparable amount of time.
