quite right good chap. (although I think the facepalm was a slight to those who thought we actually had a shot.)
"I didn't feel like we had to score," Tannehill said. "I had the mindset we were going to score."

Nothing left to do but move on and root for Tannehill and hope he gets us to a SB victory. Worrying about Ryan is kinda like still worrying about Brees at this point. It hurts, but its already over.
Actually the bigger **** up was not grabbing Long and then trading up ahead of the Ravens to snare Flacco who unlike another QB who rises to the biggest games of the year to the tune of 1-4, has gone 8-4 in the playoffs, this season with about a 116QBR, 8 TDs, 0 Ints, 2011, 96QBR, 4TDs, 1int and 2010, 88QBR, 3TDs and 1Int. Flacco out performed legendary Brady and Peyton in the last 2 games and actually drew up a blueprint on how to win from behind (vs how to lose or almost lose from way ahead.)

So yeah, we did screw up. However, after the 08 blue balls Penny left us with vs the Ravens, it was NOT by substituting Ryan for Long. I would have thought that narrative would have stopped after MattyThaw's 2011 offensive goose egg. Parenthetically, a lot of the folks still mourning for Matty were the same ones who were upset over passing on Brady Quinn... yet I wonder why no one is still belaboring that "terrible" decision... especially considering that with Quinn on board as the 10th pick in 07, Ryan would have never been in the 08 draft discussion at all.

Likewise Seattle would be playing this week if Russell had Julio Jones, Roddy White and Tony G lining up with him. It wouldn't have been close.

Nope. He had every reason in the world to stay out there. the ONLY reason he would've joined the dolphins is $. and we already went that route with Saban. I think Ross got it right with Philbin. He wants to be the coach of the dolphins, has a passion for it. Perfect match assuming it means wins.

I am going to post what WB said from the other thread

And if the falcon lose this game it's back to the Ryan was the right choice, but it's a team game and not his fault his D folded down the stretch. ? Seriously i'm tired of the ryan vs. long debate, as if there ever really was a debate. I don't blame jeff Ireland for long being our 1 one pick. I blame parcels. And that being said, its not like jake has completely bombed in the NFL, he was a good choice, just not the best choice. We had no QB and we should've picked Ryan. but with that being said, we should've drafted Brees, we should've drafted Rogers, and we should've signed brees. lotsa what ifs, lotsa shouldas, and lotsa GMS that made those choices that are no longer here. Jeff picked his QB. lets worry about Tannehill's success, not Ryan's success.

Because logic and reason always wins against people who act like whiny little twats.
Once Dmac is drafted a Dmac Jersey will spontaneously materialize in the closet of each and every Dolfan...

...and not that replica crap either...
