Saturday morning cartoons these days suck balls. I tried watching them a few months back because I was too hungover to get off my couch. They were bad enough that I actually got up and risked vomiting instead of being tortured with that junk...
I canít believe that all of you who were applauding the Democrats when they were wiping their butts with the 2nd Amendment (after all, who really needs an assault rifle?) are now all up in arms when the same Democrats start wiping their butts with the 1st Amendment (after all, who really needs a violent video game?). I am sure the reason for this is that none of you actually own assault weapons, so the 2nd Amendment doesnít mean anything to you, but you all play these sorts of video games so now you pretend to care about the Constitution. Itís pretty disappointing you all only care about preserving the Constitution when it directly affects you.
Perseverance of the Saints
Its clear the only amendment we should trample is the first, not the second. In order to preserve liberty, we must murder the first amendment, preferably with assault rifles. The first amendment was only meant to take up space before getting to the real meat of the article, the second amendment.
Everyone who has actually read the Constitution understands that our founders intended for us to live in complete silence while training our scope on everyone around us. Thanks again Statler.
Sometimes I seriously wonder about you, where did I ever say I support the video game legislation? I certainly do not. I care about both the 1st and 2nd Amendments unlike you; please donít hate me for being more consistent in my views than you are.
Video games do not kill anyone. Assault rifles do. They kill more people faster than a handgun or a shotgun can. The "you dont need video the same as you dont need assault rifles" argument doesnt work because the argument isnt to ban them just because they arent needed. The argument is to ban them because they are both unnecessary AND dangerous. Same reason we arent allowed to own a military RPG.
Now if you want to argue that you are OK with whatever inherent risks there are with keeping assualt weapons legal because its the price we pay for that freedom, thats a valid argument. To compare them to owning a video game...not so much IMO.
