    For the longest time, the NFC West has been the worst division in football. But with Seattle on the rise and the Rams heading up, the NFC West is looking pretty strong. Honestly, the AFC East is not looking great right now. You got a perennial super bowl team in New England, a team that appears on the rise with Miami, a Buffalo team that is in transition and a Jets team that looks to be going the wrong way. Things can change quickly, but right now the AFC East is not very strong.

    Some people are just dumb. Never thought Id see the day when people would say the Brady led Pats were overrated. I would have to say thats total BS. Yes they have had easy games against AFC east teams, but they have dominated everyone in the league numerous times. Maybe this year they werent great and had an easy road to the AFC championship, but who didnt have an easy road? If you ask me the NFL as a whole was pretty bad this year. Pats are not overrated, theyre just getting old. BIG difference.

    It's the 70s and parts of the 80s and 90s, since the 00s we have been the much better franchise. No one cares about meaningleass wins in dec in a lost season.

    Since 1998(last 15 seasons):

    HOMERISM

    Meaningless wins??

    - you mean like The Colts and Bengals considered their 09 games 15-16 <-- as in with nothing to lose, keeping their starters healthy was a "no brainer" ????

    Or are they only considered "Meaningless" when they involve the Fins and not "Alms To The Poor" caliber charity that was so egregious the league immediately changed their policies on late season divisional match-ups?

    Post Merger (more competitive/lminimum 3 post season games played less talent diluted) Post Merger Performance:

    Conference Championships (and SB appearances) : Fins 5 Jets 0
    Superbowl Victories: Fins 2 Jets 0

    "Yep. Blow it up. This might the worst team I've ever seen constructed in my life.
    And then you throw in the terrible preparation and in-game coaching. There is no defense.
    But do it right. Fire everyone in the building. No survivors. , JiF Jetnation

    meaningless like your "great" finish to 2011, like the fools gold in 2005 w/ Nick Saban. we had a few bad years due to QB injuries so it skews the overall but the playoff #s don't lie.
