RE: Free Agent & Draft Strategy

Add another FA WR and you have a deal. I want to go into the draft with Wallace and Jennings and then draft a WR #1. If that means we have to cut someone so be it

So by signing MJ we force Cincy to target Mingo. Pretty slick. There being a lack of high 1st round offensive playmakers, I wouldn't be surprised to see Cordarelle continue to rise and go well before 21. Not crazy about back to back position picks, and prefer Bell to Ball, and not that big on EJ, would rather take another WR. Fauria's a pure blocker and unless Clay or Egnew make a jump TE would still be a playmaking black hole for us. It's a fun scenario though.

First year would be 5 mil. But I think this will be along the lines of a deal he will sign with us or somewhere else. If we can sign him for less I am definitely for that.

I think that 1 of the 2 top receivers in the draft will be gone by pick 21 whether it be Patterson or Allen. QB in the 5th round to me is a must. I dont see Matt Moore being here for us next year. Unless the current regime sees Pat Devlin as a competent back-up you have to have some QB competition. I like EJ due to his size and arm. Played for a decent program had 68% completion percentage and about a 2 -1 TD ratio. But in the 5th round if he happens to fall that far you cant ask for much more. CB back to back picks is a must. I think we should let Sean Smith walk. He is just not a ball hawk. We need to try to find some CB's that can be play makers. I think they can be the 2. Ofcourse I also thought Vontae and Smith were the 2. TE on the other hand I think Fauria is a good fit and good size. We need a big endzone target and he can be the one. If not what other TE would you prefer at this draft position.

I could see Bell replacing Ball due to his better receiving skills out of the backfield. I could live with that replacement.

Good attempt, only your plan leaves you with no seam-threat tight end who also can block. i.e. no very good tight end. Fauria is not an elite or upper level tight end, he's a glorified wide receiver. Dolphins will take one of the top two tight ends (Notre Dame or Stanford) through the draft or take one in free agency to help out Tannehill. Look at the Patriots, Falcons, Ravens & 49 ers in the 2 conf. championships, notice anything in common? All have very good/elite tight ends who can do it all, NE have two of them. Dolphins will take notice and get one for Tannehill. I hope. Overall nice direction for your offseason plan though.

Why anyone would resign Chris Clemmons is beyond me.

Would be a great 3rd safety for us no?
We can target Vaccaro, Elam, Rambo, etc to start.
He'll be able to resign on the cheap too, unlike Hartline.

allen will be gone by 21 and so will Lane Johnson the former Oklahoma QB turned Franchise Left tackle 6'6 302 4.7 40. we also wouldn't need to spend that much money on johnson and kruger. like them both but we would only need one. Kruger would be a DE in our defense. so would johnson. Take Kruger or Johnson and use the money by only signing one and sign a TE like Cook, Keller, or the salary of a trade for Jermichael Finley
