Edit: As for the article you posted; I can believe it. Have you ever been to a soccer match in Europe? Pretty intense. Personally, most of my aggression comes out when I am playing sports or playing a FPS online.
I have way too many stories of some 10 year old yelling at me on Xbox, calling me the worst he can think of, right after I shoot his face off in Max Payne. It's funny until I realize he is allowed to talk like that, yell, scream, whatever, and he is still playing the game. If I acted like that as a kid, my dad would have taken my video games and smashed them in front of me. That kind of behavior is unacceptable...
Imma go jump on a turtle.
And video games can definitely bring out aggression and frustration, but from what Ive experienced its very temporary. A quick expletive laced tirade and I feel better. Only time I can recall flipping out bad was once when I was on a losing streak in Madden. I had lost a few in a row so I was already somewhat annoyed. Next game I got out to a good lead and ended up being ahead 14 with less than a minute left and lost. KO return for a TD, onside kick recovered, absolutely ridiculous deep ball catch and run, he wins the toss in OT and kicks a FG to win. Keep in mind, Im just sitting there stewing on rage the whole time this is unfolding in front of me and I was already an angsty teenager filled with whatever causes us to be raging little douchers at that age. I ended up cracking a beat up glass table, yelling a string of the most vile language I could think of, and really wanting to punch the wall. It didnt help that the dude sent me a message saying "LOL" or something like that. Mad doesnt even begin to describe it
1) Win the next game.
2) See goal #1
